Dig at least 4 inches into garden soil. (Get past mulch and amendments.) ¼ cup of soil into a glass jar, add about 1 cup of water, shake, and let it settle over night or several hours. (Tap water is sufficient.)
¼ teaspoon of dry soil for testing pH.
Bring the jar and dry soil samples so we can test for:
pH (alkaline or acidic – we use distilled water for this…our tap water is slightly alkaline.)
Nitrogen
Phosphorus
Potassium
You will receive Soil Testing Results Sheet with some solutions on how to amend your soil if it’s deficient in certain elements.
