STANLEY SMITH
HORTICULTURE GRANT

WMCG has focused on growing vegetables using organic gardening principles from its inception in 2010. In 2020, we received a grant from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust to create a multi-purpose ornamental public garden -- arboretum for the White Mountain region. The ornamental garden demonstrates to residents that home landscaping can be affordable by choosing indigenous plants that are pollinator friendly and some plants are also edible.
The new "Navajo County Ornamental Gardens" will be in full bloom this coming spring and summer. We invite everyone to visit our new garden and learn about native plants for affordable landscaping. We are ADA friendly.
